Mission Statement
To enhance and expand delivery of legal services to indigent and low-income immigrants principally through diocesan immigration programs and to meet the immigration needs identified by the United States Catholic Council of Bishops (USCCB).
Immigration Services
Immigration Services provide assistance to legal indigent and low income immigrants in need of immigration counseling and help with the preparation of petitions and applications necessary for submission for Citizenship. Catholic Charities is recognized and several staff are Accredited by - the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) in Washington, D.C
We are affiliated with the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, an organization established by USCCB/Migration and Refugee Services (MRS). To learn more about the benefits, please click here. Catholic Charities Immigration program is also listed as an approved Community-Based Organization by Homeland Security. We provide immigration services, focusing on the law's impact on families. We provide counseling and prepare applications and petitions for clients, for submission to the Citizenship and Immigration Service. Services include citizenship, adjustment of status, immigrant and non-immigrant visas, travel documents, "green card" renewals and other family-based petitions.
